Wed Films was a wedding filmmaking company based in Butwal, Nepal, built by a team of passionate creatives with a vision to bring a more cinematic and emotional approach to wedding storytelling.
As one of the Founders and former CEO, I was involved in building the company from the ground up while leading its creative direction. I also worked directly as a Director, Cinematographer, and Editor, overseeing projects from concept and production to final delivery.
My work at Wed Films allowed me to explore the emotional side of filmmaking; capturing the unscripted moments, relationships, celebrations, and intimate details that make every wedding unique. It also gave me the opportunity to develop my visual language, cinematography, storytelling, editing, and ability to lead a creative team in real-world production environments.
Through the company, I worked on numerous wedding films and visual stories, creating a style that focused on authenticity, emotion, cinematic composition, and meaningful moments rather than simply documenting the event.
Wed Films played an important role in shaping me as a filmmaker and creative professional. It was where I learned to balance creative vision with real-world production, clients, teams, deadlines, and business, experiences that continue to influence the way I approach filmmaking today.
Although I have since moved on from the company, Wed Films remains an important chapter in my creative journey and one of the foundations of the filmmaker I am today.
